Our Core Privacy Promise: 100% Client-Side Processing
Unlike traditional resume builders or online AI tools, AIResumeATS does not transmit, upload, or store your resume text, job descriptions, contact details, or headshot photos onto any external server. All keyword analysis, TF-IDF math, and PDF generation run locally in your browser. If you choose to save your progress, your resume data may be stored in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`) on this device.
1. Information We Collect & How It Is Used
Because AIResumeATS operates strictly via client-side JavaScript, we do not require user account registration, passwords, or personal identification upon visiting the site:
- Resume Data & Headshot Photos: When you paste or build a resume or upload a portrait photo inside our builder, that information is stored strictly within your browser’s `localStorage` so that your progress is preserved across sessions. "Export JSON" downloads a backup copy of that data to your device and does not delete it. In the Resume Builder, the "Clear saved data & start fresh" button permanently removes this saved data from your browser. You can also clear it yourself at any time by clearing this site's browser storage through your browser settings.
- Log Data & Analytics: Like most standard web platforms, our cloud hosting providers (Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify) automatically collect standard anonymous server logs including your browser user agent, IP address, and referral URL for basic network security and DDoS mitigation.
2. Advertising & Cookies
AIResumeATS does not currently display third-party advertising. We use local browser storage (`localStorage`) only to save your progress on this device, and we may add analytics cookies in the future to help us understand how the site is used. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
- Our hosting providers' standard server logs may still record basic connection information (see Section 1) regardless of advertising.
3. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA grants you specific data privacy rights:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request what personal data is collected. As noted, we store zero personal resume files on our servers.
- Right to Deletion: Because your resume data resides in your own browser's local storage (`localStorage`) on your device, you have complete 100% control over its immediate deletion without waiting for server response requests.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against any user for exercising their data privacy rights.
4. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Our Approach
For European Union (EU) and UK visitors, AIResumeATS is designed to minimize personal-data collection by processing all core personal career documentation strictly on the client side, without cross-border server transfers. We do not claim formal GDPR compliance certification.
